About Your Tutor

Hi, I'm Shah.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm a qualified secondary mathematics teacher registered with the New Zealand Teachers Council, and I've been teaching since 1996 — across Cambridge, NCEA, IB, SAT and GMAT maths curricula.

Every student learns differently, so sessions are built around how your child learns best: their pace, their gaps, their goals. Many of my students have gone on to earn A*s, Distinctions, Excellences and Merits.

I believe in building real relationships — plenty of students and parents stay in touch long after the tutoring ends. Parents get fortnightly feedback, so you always know how things are progressing.

A big thank you to Shah for helping my daughter with secondary Algebra, Statistics and Calculus. She got impressive NCEA results in Maths largely due to Shah's meticulous care and guidance. I would recommend Shah to any parent looking for a caring and professional teacher who is also a subject area expert.

After failing his mock exams we got in touch with Shah, who saw straight away where my son's gaps were. He ended up with Excellence in Calculus and Merit in Tables, Graphs & Equations — a wonderful outcome, thank you so much.

Both my boys have been seeing Shah for a couple of years now and he is amazing! Both were struggling with maths and he has turned that all around. They're now in years 12 & 13 and both speak really highly of how patient he is and how easy he is to understand.

Shah helped me to pass my aptitude tests to join the New Zealand Defence Force. I have always struggled with maths, so to have someone break it down for me in a way I could understand was incredibly helpful.

Shah helped my son with his SAT maths study. My son looked forward to the sessions — a first! — and even said he was disappointed when the SAT test date came because they would have to end. He really appreciated the way Shah could break problems down clearly while making it enjoyable at the same time.

Having no calculus background it was a big shock when I took my first stage 1 maths paper at UOA. Mr Khan made the transition very comfortable. I look forward to continuing to work with him as I progress further into my other required maths papers.
